The fabric

Ripstop shell · cream mesh back. Ripstop carries its strength in the weave, not in weight — a grid of reinforcing threads stops any tear where it starts, so the cap survives being stuffed into a vest pocket a few hundred times. The open-knit mesh back dumps heat on climbs and dries on the descent.

Why it exists

The field cap,
built for the ground.

Every run in the journal was researched under a sun that does not care about your plans. The field cap is the answer: a five-panel crown low enough to stay put on descents, a curved brim that shades without blocking the trail ahead, and mesh side panels for the climbs that get hot.

The shell is a tight ripstop weave that shrugs off drizzle and branch snags; the mesh is soft enough to forget. The mark is embroidered in two colours, pine and terracotta, because a printed logo on a forty-dollar cap is a broken promise.
